Mom of many, wife, social worker, semi introvert, faux foodie, sleep misser, pet rescuer.

Owen, almost 5 years old, was diagnosed with Fragile X in March of 2010 at age 20 months.  The tsunami of the diagnosis has impacted my life and continued to ripple in ways I could never imagine.  My goal is to never live with regrets of life circumstances, but rather to embrace and accept what I have been given and the choices I have made, and to mostly survive – with some growth flourishes as a person, mother, friend and social worker.  And to get some sleep.

With acknowledgement there may be times that I just want to kick someone’s ass.

About Kathleen Quinn

Surviving motherhood, stepmotherhood, special needs motherhood. I'm tired just writing that. Also social worker and liberal hippie snowflake.
